February and April drawings from my head

As you can probably tell, these are not drawings from life but random stuff that I made up as I drew. The only pseudo life drawing is the first one from the top, where I was taking a break from drawing the people around me at Literati to draw myself from memory. I like coming up with problems like that and finding ways to solve them, so it was fun. Drawing from my imagination is a blast, but can be frustrating at times when things don't quite come out as I've imagined them (as in, completely wrong). One of the main reasons that I've gotten back into drawing full force in these past several years is the following: there's a comic I want to illustrate that is the creation of a (very patient) friend of mine. He also wrote the script of the first issue, so I've slowly but surely been working on that. Now that I feel about as competent as I'm probably ever going to feel when it comes to my drawing skills, my goal this year is to at least rough out the first issue - we'll see how it goes.
