Coffee shop action, early March

These were done at various coffee shops/bakeries: a Starbucks in Whittier, Urth Caffe in Santa Monica, Sabor y Cultura 2 in Pasadena, Susina on Beverly and La Brea, and of course, Casbah Cafe. Notice the drawing with my signature on it? That's a Casbah drawing. I was moving to another table, and my sketchbook was open to some drawings I had done as I placed it on the table. A guy sitting at another table next to me with his friend saw the drawings and told me in an endearing accent that they were beautiful. As I sat down, he asked if I would draw him and his friend. I said sure, suddenly more shy than usual, and not making much eye contact (I hate when I regress to a 13 year-old's level of shyness). Anyway, I did proceed to draw him and his friend when they weren't paying attention. The nice foreign gentleman, named Marco, is in the third drawing from the bottom - he's the dude in profile on the left-hand side of the page with a little 5 o' clock shadow. His friend, named Patrick if memory serves, is in the second drawing from the bottom. As Marco was leaving, he asked if I had ended up drawing them - I showed him the drawings, and told me upon looking at the drawing of his friend, that I had captured his essence, which I took as a big compliment. I told them both that they had great faces for drawing (I was not trying to flirt, just being honest... stop laughing!), and that it had been fun to draw them. They asked if they could take the drawings - seeing my hesitation, they then asked me to sign them and take pictures, which was totally fine with me. Hence my signing a drawing, which I don't often do anymore, since my drawings usually just stay in my sketchbook.
