January 2012: Mellow dog on the Silver Lake Intelligentsia terrace

When I was a kid, I drew dogs all the time. While I did do drawings of other animals, one of my more memorable childhood obsessions was the one I had with those furry things that have a tendency to poop everywhere, bark, and sometimes be absolutely adorable. I drew dogs as fighter pilots and princesses; when I was around 11 or 12 years-old, I had a book with photographs of some of the different dog breeds that I loved to draw from.

I don't draw dogs that often nowadays, but every now and then I might catch a dog relaxing with his or her owner on the terrace at the Silver Lake Intelligentsia. This poodle was quite good at holding a pose.
